The Harps Camogie Club

Down beat Laois by 0-15 to 2-8 in the League Division 3 final in Ashbourne. Down were the better team for most of the game but Laois fought back in the final 15 minutes to set up a nerve wracking finale. Unfortunately they couldn’t sneak the win. Great disappointment for the girls but they still have the championship to look forward to.

The Harps girls involved were Denise Quigley and Catriona Phelan (captain) in defence, Louise Mahony at midfield, Aine and Elaine Mahony in the forwards. Michelle Fitzpatrick came on as a sub, Claire Walsh and Aoife Donohue were also in the subs.
