Under 14′s record easy win over Clonaslee

The under 14 team recorded an easy win over newcomers Clonaslee on Monday night in Durrow.

In the 1st half, Harps captain Shauna Monahan scored 2 goals and 2 points. Claire Brophy playing at corner forward scored 2 goals and 1 point. Full forward Niamh Dunne scored 3 goals. Stephanie Bergin at wing forward scored 1 goal and 1 point and Lorna Campion at number 15 scored a goal to bring the half time score for the Harps to 9 goals and 4 points.

After the break Shauna Monahan went into top gear and scored 4 goals on the trot, bringing her account for the day to 6 goals and 2 points. Lorna Campion scored another 2 goals and hit the upright with another shot, bringing her total to 3 goals. Edel Costigan moved from midfield to center forward and scored 2 goals and 2 points. Leah Dunphy scored 2 goals after coming as a sub and another goal was scored by the HYarps girls to bring their second half score to 11 goals and 2 points.

An easy win in the end and a great way to bounce back after defeat to Camross last time out. Next up is a clash with local rivals St. Brigids on May 11th.
