The Harps 5-2 v O’Moore’s 2-3

On the July 22nd The Harps under 12 Camogie Team played O’Moore’s in the county championship in Durrow G.A.A. grounds.

It was a good competitive game. The Harps got off to a great start and had scored 3 goals in the 1st half to 1 point from O’Moores. O’Moore’s came back out after half time and got themselves well back into the game by scoring 2 goals and 2 points, but the Harps girls answered with 2 goals and 2 points of their own to restore the gap. There was brilliant defending from the Harps backs led by the experience of Eimear Delaney and Rachel Bergin. Sarah Broderick was exellent in midfield supported
by Karina O’Dea and forwards led by Avril Deegan and Leah Dunphy played out of their skin.

The final score was. The Harps 5-2 to O’Moore’s 2-3.

Scorers for the Harps were Kate Doogue 3-0, Meave Phelan 1-0, Leah Dunphy 1-0, Sarah Broderick 0-1 and Avril Deegan 0-1.
