The girls incredible run of success finally came to an end in the All Ireland Semi Final in Portlaoise as they lost out to St. Anne’s of Waterford by a goal.

Two first half goals from St Anne’s gave them a strong lead mid way through the first half but the Harps pegged it back to just trail by 2 points at the break 2-5 to 0-9.

The girls came out firing on all cylinders in the second half and fought their way into the lead however a third goal from the Waterford girls with 10 minutes to go proved decisive and despite throwing all they could at St Anne’s in the remaining minutes they couldn’t peg back the difference.

  3. On behalf of the Harps camogie team I would like to say a massive thanks to all our wonderfull supporters who have followed us all over the country in the past four years. I dont think ye realise the lift and encouragement ye gave us everyday when we went out on the field and this was never more so than yesterday when ye gave us a standing ovation as we left the pitch devastated. Like we said in the dressing room afterwards….we will be back next year!
