About Us

Welcome to The Harps Camogie Club website.

The Harps Camogie Club was founded in 1994 and is comprised of girls from the villages of Cullohill, Durrow, Ballacolla and surrounding areas in County Laois.

The club has been incredibly successful in it’s short life span culminating in the recent All Ireland Junior club title 3 in a row success.

In the late 90′s and early 2000′s the club won several Feile na nGael under 14 titles. The fortunes of the club at senior level began to change in 2005 when the team reached the County Semi Final but unfortunately were beaten by St. Brigids of Rathdowney after a number of replays.

The arrival of Aidan Franks as team manager in 2006 marked a turning point for The Harps seeing them become All Ireland Club Champions for the first time. 2007 saw the Harps reign victorious for a second year. The Harps made it three in a row on November 16th 2008 beating Kilmaley from Clare.

2008 also saw the under 14s once again reach the Feile final but unfortunately were just beaten after extra time.
