Congradulations to our brilliant centre back Catriona Phelan on being chosen as Laois Camogie Player of the year for 2009. A natural leader with an incredable ability to read the game of camogie, she is long overdue recognition by her peers.
Louise Mahony picked up a Soaring Star award at the 2009 camogie all stars. The Soaring Star awards are the All Stars for the Junior grade of counties. Laois had 2 recipients with Eimear Moynan of St Brigids getting an award at full back and Louise at midfield.

The annual Woodenbridge Paddlers Raft Race in aid of the Camogie Club was held on Sunday.
