Under 10, under 12, under 16 and senior training is currently underway.

New and past players are welcome to attend all training sessions.

Catriona Phelan is Laois Camogie Player 2009

Congradulations to our brilliant centre back Catriona Phelan on being chosen as Laois Camogie Player of the year for 2009. A natural leader with an incredable ability to read the game of camogie, she is long overdue recognition by her peers.

2009 Soaring Star Awards

Louise Mahony picked up a Soaring Star award at the 2009 camogie all stars. The Soaring Star awards are the All Stars for the Junior grade of counties. Laois had 2 recipients with Eimear Moynan of St Brigids getting an award at full back and Louise at midfield.

Leinster Express Camogie Award

The Harps camogie team picked up another award last week when they collected the Leinster Express Camogie award. The award for the whole team honours the hard work and dedication shown by all the players and managment.

Medals and Awards

The camogie team received their Laois, Leinster and All Ireland medals at the recent club dinner dance. Kilkenny manager Brian Cody presented the medals to the girls.

There was a special player of the match award from the county final which went to Claire Walsh.

The overall player of the year award selected by trainer Aidan Franks was Angela Hanlon.

Both richly deserved awards.

Louise wins Leinster Express Sportstar

Congratulations to Louise Mahony who won the Leinster Express Sportstar of the year award after claiming 50% of the votes in an online poll.

The Leinster Express Laois Sports Star of the Year is open for voting with Louise Mahony one of the 11 contenders after winning the November award. Louise finished second in the voting last year and will be hoping to go one better this time. It would cap a great year for the Harps camogie with further recognition for the great play in winning the three in a row of All Irelands.

Louise picks up Laois GAA Camogie Player Award

Congratulations to Louise Mahony who picked up the camogie player of the year award at the 2008 Laois GAA awards.

The awards were presented on Friday November 22nd in the Heritage Hotel Portlaoise.

All Star Nomination for Louise Mahony

Louise Mahony was once again awarded with an All Star nomination following her displays with Laois and Harps this year. The Camogie All Stars take place on November 8th in the CityWest Hotel.

Louise who has been nominated twice before is the captain of the Harps team this year. It’s a great honour for the club to have a player recognised at national level.
